El: the inaugural post. Or..something...
I loathe being broke. I went into Chapters today, just to browse, and damned if I didn't want 5 books. Stupid Chapters. I haven't really had a chance to read anything non-English related this week, but the last book I finished was...Ghoul, by Michael Slade.I am a proud Sladist, but...that book was pretty bad. And not in a "plot, what plot?" kind of way. More of an "oh my god is that even physically possible?" kind of way. Like, really, the main character was shot in the head, but all that happened was random bouts of epileptic siezures and a DENT in his forehead.
"buddy?! what's wrong with you?"
"Oh nothing, just a random, convenient plot hole seizure."
"dude, I meant the dent. I mean...it's huge!"
"didn't you hear the part about the-?"
"DUDE. You have a DENT in your HEAD. That is so cool."
Yeah...that's pretty much how it goes with good old Zinc. Oh, you heard me. The man is electrically unstable, has a dent in his head, and his name is Zinc because his hair is the colour of steel. Notice how it's not grey (gray?). Hell no. STEEL.
*sigh* I was disappointed. Now...off to read "do androids dream of electric sheep". *cue weeping*
